Inventa was tasked by VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation with orchestrating an unforgettable event that would bring together over 850 influential leaders from BC’s corporate, philanthropic, and medical sectors for the third annual Vitality Gala on October 19, 2024. Expectations were high, with a mission to craft an experience that was not only seamless in execution but also deeply inspiring.
With a goal of raising critical funds for healthcare innovation in BC, the challenge was twofold: ensuring operational excellence while fostering an emotional connection with attendees. Through expert planning and execution, Inventa delivered, helping raise over $2.5M for life-saving research and treatments.
This event wasn’t just about creating an evening to remember; it was about creating lasting impact. Through meticulous planning, Inventa helped foster an environment where the community could come together, celebrate, and, most importantly, make a tangible difference in healthcare for years to come.
This year marks Inventa’s first involvement with the event. Taking full charge of attendee management, speaker coordination, run-of-show development, and technical rehearsals, we ensured flawless execution from start to finish.
Beyond logistics, Inventa spearheaded the creative and experiential design, crafting an immersive atmosphere that embodied the gala’s Illuminate theme. Our agency managed everything from venue transformation, signage, and décor to AV production, catering, and entertainment. Working closely with VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, we developed a compelling event program, while our Show Producer collaborated with their in-house team to create stunning motion graphics that reinforced the evening’s narrative.
Inventa’s expertise and attention to detail played a crucial role in the success of the Vitality Gala. By seamlessly managing stakeholders and fostering a collaborative environment, we ensured every aspect of the event was executed to perfection. Our strategic coordination of the 30+ person planning committee and expert vendor management contributed to a smooth and highly impactful experience.
With 835 attendees and a record-breaking $2.5M raised, the gala exceeded all expectations, funding groundbreaking research, life-saving treatments, and innovative therapies across British Columbia. One of the night’s standout moments was a historic $320,000 bid for the exclusive ‘Taylor Swift The Eras Tour VIP Suite Experience’—the largest auction donation ever received at a VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation gala.
The event’s overwhelming success solidified Inventa’s role as a trusted partner in producing world-class, mission-driven experiences.
